Engineers Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Biscuits
|
The Montgomery Biscuits faced a tough opponent in Shreveport pitcher Seth Wiggs, but found a way to pull out the victory at Engineers Ballpark by a final score of 4-2 in 10 innings. Wiggs went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Picking up the save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Yeamans. Now 41-14, the Biscuits have won 15 games in a row.
Derek Meyer came through with a big-time hit for Montgomery. The pinch hitter smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Big win," said Meyer.
