A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Corpus Christi Hooks and Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp.

The Corpus Christi Hooks downed the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, 7-1, at Whataburger Field. The Hooks were led by Ted Bienko. Bienko went 2-5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Corpus Christi now sports a record of 32-27.

With Corpus Christi trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Bienko hit a fastball from Davis Denton for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Hooks ahead, 2-1.
