The Corpus Christi Hooks stifled the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, 6-2, at Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Aiden Leto, who is tied for 3rd in the SL in extra base hits with 33, had his hitting cap on. He was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs for Corpus Christi. The Hooks bumped their record to 37-23 with this latest triumph.

It could have been a different outcome for Corpus Christi, had it not been for Jacob Sanches, the 23-year old third baseman . Sanches contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Corpus Christi up, 1-0.

"We came in and did what we needed to do," said Corpus Christi manager Brian O'Kray.
