Biscuits Sneak By Trash Pandas, 7-6

Christian Baker did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Rocket City Trash Pandas from losing, 7-6, to the Montgomery Biscuits at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Baker was 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. Montgomery reliever Eddy Nasta was the winner. His record is now 3-2. The losing pitcher was Wayne Hazelgrove. Montgomery now sits in third place in the Southern League Southeast Division at 32-29.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Vimaro Cobian came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Rocket City pitcher Wayne Hazelgrove, he hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Montgomery on top, 7-6.
"It was a nice win for our side today," said Biscuits manager Daniel Adkins. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
