Biloxi parlayed a decent outing from starter Johnny Axelrod into a solid win over the Tulsa Drillers. The final score was 5-3. The winning pitcher was Axelrod, now 5-4. He tossed 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8. Hunter Millsap got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

The Shuckers got a big at-bat from third baseman Aaron Craig. For the game, Craig went 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Biloxi a 3-0 lead.

"Johnny was throwing strikes, locating well," said Biloxi manager Dave Donnelly.
