11-7 Tennessee Loss Tarnishes Graham's Fine Effort
The rain did not keep Biloxi and Tennessee from finishing their game.

The Biloxi Shuckers besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Tennessee right fielder Dave Graham by beating the Smokies, 11-7, at Smokies Park. Graham belted 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Gonzalo Lerma snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 5 hits over 2.1 innings. He's now 1-1 on the season.

Biloxi right fielder Teo McMillan contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the fifth. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 75th hit of the season and put the Shuckers ahead, 4-2.

Shuckers manager Dave Donnelly wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."

The win has Biloxi at 27-39.
