The Montgomery Biscuits went home winners at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Jeremy Reed. Reed stifled the Biloxi Shuckers, enabling Montgomery to grab the 2-0 win. With the win, Montgomery upped its record to 35-32.

Vimaro Cobian, who is tied for 9th in the SL in bases on balls with 34, aided the Montgomery cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder was 2-4 with 2 singles.

Afterward, Biscuits manager Daniel Adkins was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
