Pilots Win at New Haven, 2-1
|
The Wichita Pilots and New Haven Ravens put on a pitchers' duel.
Getting an impressive start from Owen Pile, Wichita beat New Haven by the score of 2-1. Pile got the win, improving to 1-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Wichita took advantage of an error in the top of the sixth inning. The game was tied, 1-1, when Wyatt Paris hit a run-scoring single that was misplayed. It put the Pilots in front, 2-1.
"Owen pitched like a champ," said Wichita manager Ryan Coleman.
The Pilots, now 4-9, have not found much traction so far in 2062.
