Aquilera Jacks Two Home Runs in 7-1 Shreveport Win
Shreveport defeated Chattanooga, 7-1, in large part due to 26-year old center fielder Eduardo Aquilera. Aquilera drove in 4 runs. The right fielder had 1 double and 2 home runs for the Engineers. Shreveport pitcher Bud Lorenz got the win. He's now 8-0. Rick Fyock was tagged with the loss. The Engineers, now 50-18, have won 5 in a row.

With Shreveport leading 2-0 in the top of the fourth, Aquilera hit a fastball from Rick Fyock for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Engineers ahead, 4-0.

"We had a nice day," said Shreveport skipper Kip Fors.
