Naturals Wrest Win from Flying Squirrels, 8-7
The Northwest Arkansas Naturals besoiled an otherwise fine performance by St. Petersburg second baseman Yufemio Guzman by beating the Flying Squirrels, 8-7, at Arvest Ballpark. Guzman went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Northwest Arkansas pitcher Gabe Nichols earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Curtis Lynch suffered the loss. Despite the win, the Naturals have a lousy 13-53 record.

Northwest Arkansas got a knockout punch from Wyatt Worthington. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"What an ending!" said a jubilant Worthington.
