Robbins Helps St. Petersburg Cruise to 10-3 Win
St. Petersburg center fielder Danny Robbins had a 6-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Midland RockHounds, 10-3. Solomon Gray, the winning pitcher, is now 8-4. He went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 1. Their 38-30 record puts the Flying Squirrels second in the Southern League Southeast Division.

Robbins contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for St. Petersburg in the top of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Robbins took a splitter from Giuliano Lugio and stroked the home run to right-center. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Flying Squirrels to leap in front, 3-1.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Midland manager T.J. Saddler.
