Win Lifts Drillers to 35-31
|
Tulsa Drillers starter Keandre Gonzales worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Arkansas Travelers, 3-0. Gonzales, now 2-2, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 1, walking 4, and allowing no runs. The save went to Antonio Sanders, number 1 for him.
Contributing to the Tulsa win was Milan Stanford. In the top of the first, the 24-year old center fielder had a run-scoring double. That made the score 1-0, the Drillers in front.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Brian Iocco.
The win hiked the Tulsa record to 35-31.
