Biscuits Reel In 4-2 Win
|
The Montgomery Biscuits knocked off the San Antonio Missions, 4-2, in Southern League action at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Montgomery pitcher and Brattleboro, Vermont, native Garrett Tanner had an outstanding performance. The winner was Tanner. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. The loser was Sam Ives. With the win, the Biscuits have a record of 42-23.
Brandon Escobedo helped his team take an early lead with a run-scoring single. It came in the first inning, making the score 1-0, Biscuits.
After the game, Montgomery manager Hector Bonilla applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
