Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Blue Wahoos
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos had to overcome a fine effort from St. Petersburg pitcher Maddux Carrol to grab a narrow 7-5 win at The Diamond. Carrol went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Pensacola pitcher Jon Felty got the win. He's now 1-1. Savino Santiago was tagged with the loss. With the win, Pensacola goes to 30-40, while the Flying Squirrels fall to 43-27.

Pensacola used a clutch hit from Kim Tobias to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Blue Wahoos ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Tobias.
