Scouts Reel In 5-2 Win
The Chattanooga Scouts defeated the St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels, 5-2, in Southern League action at The Diamond. Chattanooga pitcher Jeffrey Hammonds had a standout performance. Brandon Webster closed the door for Chattanooga, picking up his 2nd save of the year. Chattanooga currently is in 7th place in the Southern League Southeast Division at 33-39.

Mick Little had a big 2-run home run for the Scouts in the top of the third inning. With Chattanooga leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Solomon Gray and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Scouts on top, 4-1.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Hammonds.
