Evans Lifts Engineers to 9-4 Triumph

The home crowd had a good time watching the Tulsa Drillers and Shreveport Engineers get after it.
No one was more impactful than John Evans in the 9-4 Shreveport win over Tulsa. Evans, who is tied for 7th in the SL in stolen bases with 10, went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Rodrigo Ortiz earned the win to go to 3-3. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits, with 1 walk and 9 strikeouts in 7 innings of work. Sam Mootz recorded his 1st save for Shreveport.
Justin Martin chipped in a 3-run home run for Shreveport in the bottom of the first. For the game, the right fielder had 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 2 singles, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"I keep on showing up every day and trying to put up good at-bats and find good pitches to hit," said Evans.
Shreveport goes to 37-34, Tulsa to 40-31.
