Shehorn Batters San Antonio Big Time
|
St. Petersburg Flying Squirrels first baseman Stanley Shehorn really lit up the San Antonio Missions with a 5-hit barrage at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium -- a performance that sparked the Flying Squirrels to a 7-0 triumph.
He shrugged off the performance after the game, saying "sometimes the ball finds outfielders, today the ball found some holes."
Stanley Shehorn singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
This year, Shehorn is hitting .309 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs in 59 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .387 with 27 walks and 38 runs scored.
