Aces Walk It Off for 31st Win of Season
The Alexandria Aces eked out a 3-2 win versus the Corpus Christi Hooks at Blue Wahoos Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Joseph George. He was terrific. Alexandria pitcher Mal Radford got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Maurice Akinkuade got the loss. After today's action, Alexandria sits at 31-42, while Corpus Christi falls to 39-34.

Bill Sheppard was the walk-off hero for Alexandria. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Aces shortstop hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

After the game, Alexandria manager Bryan Dedmon applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
