The Midland RockHounds managed to get by the Rocket City Trash Pandas, 6-5, at Security Bank Ballpark. Midland pitcher Benji Hernández set himself apart with his performance. Tommy Huish, credited with the win in relief, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Midland now sports a record of 31-44.

Midland got a knockout punch from David Fulcher. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Hernández.
