Aces Earn Late Win
|
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.
The Alexandria Aces topped the Chattanooga Scouts, 3-2, in Southern League action at Blue Wahoos Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Alexandria pitcher and Seagate, North Carolina, native Kenny Comiskey. Alexandria reliever Jerónimo Ruiz got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Randy Laity was tagged with the loss.
The decisive blow was delivered by Riley Raley in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 22-year old left-handed pitcher Randy Laity to win the game for Alexandria. The home crowd went nuts.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Raley.
The Aces are now 37-39, while the Scouts fall to 39-37.
