Behind the bravura of center fielder Marz Galiano, the Mississippi Braves topped the Montgomery Biscuits by the score of 11-6. Galiano was 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Braves. Woody Boban, the winner, is now 3-0. He struck out 4 and walked 1 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 5 runs on 10 hits. By defeating Montgomery, the 6th-place Braves improved to 40-34.

In the bottom of the second, 24-year old catcher Tracy McGill hit a 3-run home run. The 6th home run of the season for the Mississippi catcher put the Braves on top, 3-0.
