Trash Pandas Rally Late to Clip Tennessee
The Rocket City Trash Pandas besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Tennessee center fielder Luís Sánchez by beating the Smokies, 7-6, at Hank Aaron Stadium. Sánchez was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times. The Trash Pandas improved to 34-41.

The Trash Pandas were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth inning, when 25-year old second baseman Marc Cravens landed a big blow. He turned a 1-1 fastball from Ron Pilgrim into a 2-run single. The walk-off single sent the Hank Aaron Stadium denizens into a frenzy and sent the Trash Pandas home with a thrilling 7-6 win.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Kraig Fagan told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
