The Rocket City Trash Pandas knocked off the Arkansas Travelers, 8-1, in Southern League action at Dickey-Stephens Park. Rocket City pitcher and Memphis, Tennessee, native Declan Green had an outstanding performance. The winning pitcher was Green, now 1-2. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 2.

With two out in the top of the second, Alfredo Gil put Rocket City in front, 3-0, with a 2-run single. The Trash Pandas went on to win the ballgame.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Rocket City manager Alex Salcedo. "Our pregame was pretty good."

Rocket City now owns a record of 35-42.
