The Montgomery Biscuits racked up a win at Whataburger Field, bumping off the Corpus Christi Hooks, 5-3. José Sánchez, who started for Montgomery, pitched effectively for his team. The Biscuits' win now puts them at 39-41.

Montgomery relied on the bat of Vimaro Cobian to get the win. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the ninth inning to put the Biscuits ahead, 4-3. For the game, Cobian had 1 double and 1 triple in 4 at-bats.

In postgame comments to the Montgomery Gazette, Cobian said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
