St. Petersburg took on Shreveport in front of a lively crowd.

Stanley Shehorn had a hand in St. Petersburg defeating Shreveport by the score of 13-1. Shehorn went 2 for 2 at the plate, scoring 2 times and driving in 3 runs. Heath Johnston got the win, improving to 7-4. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 8 and walking 2.

Wade Shull, who is tied for 2nd in the SL in total bases with 146, aided the St. Petersburg cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the first. For the game, the left fielder was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
