Tulsa wasted a solid 7-inning effort from starting pitcher Gervino Cúper, losing to Shreveport, 2-1, at Engineers Ballpark. Shreveport, at 62-21, is 10½ games up in the Southern League Texas Division.

Shreveport won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Asa Luther on the mound for Tulsa, center fielder Elijah Vinson hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Engineers fans to their feet.

"I wouldn't want to be playing us right now," said Shreveport manager Dustin Booth.
