It was almost a perfect day for Ewan Medina.

The New Hampshire first baseman displayed a hot bat, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Fisher Cats lost to the Halifax Frigates, 15-10. Medina told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."

New Hampshire manager Mario Javier told the beat writers otherwise.

"There was no luck today," the skipper said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."

Ewan Medina hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, flied out in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
