A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the San Antonio Missions and Alexandria Aces.
The San Antonio Missions defeated the Alexandria Aces, 8-6, in Southern League action at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium. San Antonio pitcher Edward Daniels had a standout performance. The Missions' win now puts them at 31-54.
Jason Leonard, who is tied for 9th in the SL in triples with 5, chipped in for San Antonio with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
