Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium was the site for Southern League action featuring the Biloxi Shuckers and Montgomery Biscuits.

The Montgomery Biscuits pinned a convincing loss on the Biloxi Shuckers, 9-2, at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium. Charles Dehner was a main factor in the win. He was 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times for Montgomery. Kevin Yeamans picked up the win, lifting his record to 5-4 on the season. He struck out 7 and walked 0 in 7 innings, while yielding 2 runs.

Ford Mallon had a big 2-run triple for the Biscuits in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Montgomery leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a sinker from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jerry Molloy and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Biscuits ahead, 5-2.

"We're producers not directors," said Dehner. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."

The Biscuits now have a mark of 60-25.
