Naturals Upend Engineers, 4-3

Bud Lorenz pitched well, but his team, the Shreveport Engineers, still dropped a 4-3 decision to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Engineers Ballpark. Earning his 14th save for Northwest Arkansas was Jay Hall. The 7th-place Naturals bumped their record to 38-54.
Northwest Arkansas used a well-timed hit by Gregorio Paz to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Naturals ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
After the game, Northwest Arkansas manager Ben Brewer applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
