Thrilling Victory Pushes Engineers Win Streak to 5
|
The Shreveport Engineers faced a tough opponent in Midland pitcher T.J. Padamada, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Engineers Ballpark by a final score of 2-1. Padamada went 8 innings and allowed 1 run. Reliever Juan Cisneros picked up the win. His record improves to 7-2. Jeremiah Whiting took the loss. The Engineers' win now puts them at 69-23.
Oscar Acosta was the walk-off hero for Shreveport. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Engineers first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Acosta said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
