Spirited fans greeted the Alexandria Aces for their clash with the Biloxi Shuckers.

Biloxi Shuckers starter Kievyn Johnson found his groove in his team's 13-4 win over the Alexandria Aces. In 7.1 innings, Johnson surrendered 1 hit, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run.

Patton Buffington had a big 2-run double for the Shuckers in the top of the fifth inning. With Biloxi leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Rubio Montez and swatted a double to left. It was his 20th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shuckers ahead, 5-0.

"Solid performance from our side," said Shuckers manager Júlio Sánchez.

The last-place Shuckers improved to 42-54.
