Josiah Crookston left his imprint on the 6-5 Lincoln win against the Altoona Curve. Crookston, who is tied for 8th in the EL in bases on balls with 12, went 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Joe Fryer, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Christian Brazis.
Crookston had a timely hit for Lincoln in the bottom of the seventh. With Altoona trailing 4-3, he turned a first pitch fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 6-4, Lincoln.
Crookston said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
The win gives Lincoln a record of 14-5.
