The Erie SeaWolves and the Halifax Frigates played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The SeaWolves won it, 5-3, in 12 innings. In the game, Erie designated hitter Pat Dickens was 4-6 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Andy Fine snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-2 on the season. Augusto León suffered the loss. The win puts Erie at 11-13.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 12th, until Dickens delivered big-time for Erie, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Kenny Wentz. The game-changing hit put the SeaWolves on top, 5-3.
