Enthusiastic fans came out to support the home team at Regions Field.

Wichita Pilots starter Zachary Estrada turned in a top-notch performance against the Lancaster Barnstormers at Regions Field. The result was a win for the Pilots, 6-1. In 6.2 innings, Estrada surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 4. He allowed 1 run.

The Pilots got a big at-bat from center fielder Thomas Jones. For the game, Jones was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Wichita a 3-1 lead.

"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Estrada. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."

Wichita, at 16-5, has sizzled in the early going.
