The skies opened up and the rain fell at People's Natural Gas Field.

Altoona Curve starter Hernando Roa had all his pitches working at People's Natural Gas Field. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 9-2 Altoona win over the New Haven Ravens. Roa got the win, improving to 2-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed no runs. Getting the save was Max Martell, his 1st.

Jess Claycomb, who is tied for 9th in the EL in home runs with 5, took New Haven hurler Marc Stellwag deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Curve on top, 2-0. In all, Claycomb had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Claycomb.
