Ravens Beat Barnstormers, 3-1
|
Kenny Harbin could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Lancaster Barnstormers lost, dropping a 3-1 decision to the New Haven Ravens at FirstEnergy Stadium. Jonah Allen, the winning pitcher, improved to 3-1. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 1 run, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Lancaster now has a record of 8-16.
New Haven used the timely hitting of Don Grelle to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ravens on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This was a tough loss," said Lancaster manager Gustavo Resendiz. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
