The Binghamton Rumble Ponies topped the Akron RubberDucks by the score of 8-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Eugene Aguirre. Aguirre went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, 2 walks, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 times for the Rumble Ponies on the day. Mal Autry got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 5.2 innings.
