The Binghamton Rumble Ponies and Akron RubberDucks completed their game despite the rain.

A 4-RBI performance from right fielder Curt Fischer led the Binghamton Rumble Ponies to a win over the Akron RubberDucks, 8-2. Jimmy Cayot nailed down his 4th save.

Fischer contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Binghamton in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 1-0, Fischer took a slider from Stan Norwood and stroked the home run to left-center. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Rumble Ponies to leap in front, 2-1.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Akron manager Darren Harris.

The win gives the Rumble Ponies a record of 13-10.
