SeaWolves Win, 4-3, in Extra Frames
|
SeaWolves fans were sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
Erie pitcher Jude Layton did his part in helping his team beat the Halifax Frigates, 4-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Adonis Washington, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings.
A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and one out in the bottom of the seventh inning. That's when pinch hitter Gabriel Allen hit a sacrifice fly. The SeaWolves went on to win.
"The house was rockin'," said Allen.
Halifax is now 7-18.
