The Halifax Frigates beat the Erie SeaWolves, 7-5, at Jerry Uht Park. E.J. Fleischmann, in particular, was impressive. He was 1-1 with a home run and 4 walks, while scoring 2 times. Héctor Benques finished the game for Halifax and earned his 5th save. With the win, Halifax is 8-18.

Halifax used the timely hitting of Sidney Matthews to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Frigates ahead, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

Matthews said afterward that he was glad to contribute to the win.
