Binghamton Rumble Ponies starter Dave Nixon was on his game, helping his team beat the Somerset Patriots, 2-0. The victory gives Binghamton a record of 17-11.

Binghamton right fielder Eugene Aguirre contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a slider into right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 6th hit of the season and put the Rumble Ponies ahead, 1-0.

"I still think this team can play even better," Nixon told the Binghamton News.
