Akron Grabs 2-1 Road Win
The Akron RubberDucks got a strong performance from pitcher Robert Lahman, who stymied the New Haven offense en route to a win, 2-1, at The Ballpark at Jackson. The win brings the RubberDucks to 15-12, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

Elijah Ellis, who is tied for 9th in the EL with a .375 batting average, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ellis contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth inning to put Akron up, 2-0.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said New Haven skipper Josiah Gordon, "and it cost us."
