Wichita Beats Gateway, 3-2
|
FNB Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Wichita Pilots and Gateway Grizzlies.
In a low-scoring clash between Wichita and Gateway, pitcher Lucas Ledgerwood was a difference-maker. The left-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 win. Archer Kesler earned the save, his 1st, for the Pilots.
Yordis Delgadillo struck a blow for the Pilots in the top of the sixth when he hit a solo home run. It put his team ahead, 3-2. For the game, Delgadillo went 1-4 with a home run.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Wichita skipper Ron Parks.
The victory makes Wichita 15-12.
