Ranchers Get Dramatic 2-1 Triumph
|
Chance Ortmeyer played a key role in a gritty 2-1 Chandler Ranchers win against the Glendale Gauchos. Baptisto Montero came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 3-0. The Ranchers improved their record to 9-8 by beating Glendale.
Bill Andres was the walk-off hero for Chandler. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Ranchers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Now that's my kind of ending," said a smiling Ortmeyer.
