Glendale center fielder Darion Collier helped his team beat the Ahwatukee Roughnecks, 6-5. Collier, who is tied for 4th in the AZL in stolen bases with 5, went 3 for 5 for the Gauchos. The 6th-place Gauchos have a record of 11-9.

Vincente Ugalde drove in one run for Glendale. The 20-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Al Lowry. It was his 1st RBI of the season.

Ugalde told a Glendale Daily reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
