Miramar Gets 7-4 Win
|
Pembroke Pines second baseman Axel Yost had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Yost was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2, even as Miramar beat the Herons, 7-4. Miramar reliever Rayden Purkey was the winner. His record is now 2-0. The losing pitcher was Dani Xavier. Jackie McMahon closed the game out for Miramar, earning his 4th save.
Ezra Williams, the 18-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Williams contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Miramar up, 3-0.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Williams.
Pembroke Pines falls to 6-6.
