Starting pitcher Bavol Edvardson had a solid game. He was a big reason the Ahwatukee Roughnecks throttled the Sedona Steers, 4-1. The 4th-place Roughnecks improved to 14-15.

Arlen Allen, who is tied for 2nd in the AZL in bases on balls with 22, had a direct impact on the outcome. Allen contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Ahwatukee up, 4-0.

"Makes our job easier," said Allen, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
