RubberDucks Beat Barnstormers, 6-3
|
Jimmy Schroeder was a major contributor to the 6-3 Akron win over Lancaster. The RubberDucks center fielder was 2-5 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The loss puts Lancaster at 21-4.
The RubberDucks got a big at-bat from right fielder Colton Jennings. For the game, Jennings was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 2nd double of the season gave Akron a 1-0 lead.
"Enjoyed this one," Schroeder told the Akron Herald. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
