Season Over for Jeronimo Castillo in Birmingham
Tuesday, May 7th , 2052
Birmingham starting pitcher Jeronimo Castillo could miss the remainder of the season because of a stretched elbow ligament. He exited yesterday's Norfolk game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said Castillo would be out 9 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This year in 0 starts, Castillo has recorded no wins and absorbed no losses. He has pitched 14.1 innings, allowed 17 hits, struck out 15 and has a 5.02 ERA.
