Showell Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Wednesday, September 5th , 2068 With 1 hit at Werner Park, Nobby Showell added another game to his hitting streak -- the El Paso center fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Chihuahuas, as they fell, 6-3, to the Omaha Storm Chasers. "Frankly, I don't care about hits," Omaha manager Tiernan Hayes said later. "I'll let him get 4 hits in 4 at-bats if it means we get a win." Nobby Showell grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
